Artificial intelligence – a new stage of software development
A overview of National Industrial Specializations leads to the conclusion that industry and science recognize the importance of technological and civilization breakthrough that are associated with the development of intelligent software. In current practice, right choice of priorities for the digitization process and the ability to implement them were the factors driving the effectiveness of policy for innovation growth. In 2015, observers of directions of development of technology agreed that a scientific and technological breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence took place. This opened the way for the development of adaptive software (self-learning, able to independently improve its own model of working environment and making decisions on the basis of statistical methodology-related environment analysis). From the beginning of 2016, we have been witnessing an eruption of information on spectacular achievements in a wide range of domains related to practical applications. The main subject of the discussion will be AI, yet it will appear in all the discussions conducted within the frames of the 9th Economic Forum TIME. We ask all the participants of the discussion to read a compilation prepared by KIGEiT and entitled: „Innovative Digitization”. The content of the compilation justifies the main thesis of this panel.
Main thesis of the discussion Ability to use artificial intelligence technology for economy purposes will decide on the success and competitive advantage of employees, companies, organizations, countries and societies.
Description of the issue
Assuming that artificial intelligence is a breakthrough innovation of epochal significance, organizations for digital industry enterprises (KIGEiT and PIIiT) want to engage into a discussion on politics, priorities and practical actions that allow Poland to take place among the leaders of this new trend of the civilization development. Each of the remaining 7 discussions will be dedicated to a detailed analysis of the main lines of action:
Co-participation in the creation of the European Digital Single Market in a way that will help to face the challenges brought by the future
Organisational and technological reform of the healthcare system
The subject of this discussion will be to determine development. educational and legal activities that will make it possible boost the pace of development in the aforementioned seven areas.
Previously gathered experience proves that it is easier to adjust to evolutionary than to revolutionary changes. There are many reasons to believe that the pace of change may be even faster than in the era of digitalization. They will be enforced by technological advances, and the costs of implementing new technology may not be a natural limitation to the pace of development. The success will be determined mainly by determination of a suitable pace of change in the organization of social life and the construction of infrastructure. Public awareness of the economic value of artificial intelligence translated into great involvement in construction and implementation activities. This time, the only barrier will be the system of education and training. Country’s position in the ranking of innovative economies will depend on the competence and size of social capital.

Forecasts regarding development trends and the rate at which products / machines with artificial intelligence will become universally used.
Business models that will be able to use human capital freed by the universal automation of production and services.
The shape of the labor market in times of Industry 4.0.
Reorganization of the innovation system, adapting the scale and direction of intervention to new needs and opportunities.
An education and training system of the society of knowledge taking into account that the productivity of each work station can be increased 10 or even 100 times as compared to the current state of matters and that the vast majority of the current types of jobs will be marginalized.
